Billy Strong

Billy Joe Strong, age 52, of Mayfield died Friday September 12, 2014 at his residence.

He was of the Baptist Faith, employed by King's Flowers and Antiques and former employee at General Tire and Rubber.

Mr. Strong is survived by; wife of 14 years, Karen Leigh; three sons, Wm. Russell (Ashley) Strong, Taylor Joe (Kanza) Strong, and Dennis A. Strong all of Mayfield; one daughter, Abby J. Strong also of Mayfield; parents, Rev. William and Martha Moreland Strong of Mayfield; one brother, John A. (Phaedra) Strong of Brookport ILL; one sister, Jean Ann (Jeff) Sutton of Mayfield three grandchildren also survive, Mannix Hamilton, Bentley Strong, and Zayden Strong.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Vester and Dortha Oliver Moreland, and Cecil and Grace Strong; step grandmother, Maggie Strong.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM Tuesday September 16, 2014 at the Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield. Rev. Al Cobb and Rev. Ronnie Stinson, Sr. will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mayfield Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 5-8PM Monday September 15, 2014 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Gary Moreland, Jimmy Treas, Eric Moreland, Tim Breedlove, David Clapp, and Josh Moreland. Honorary pallbearers will be David Reed, Bill Russelburg, Russell Brower, and Ernie Nelson.
