Services for Charles E. "Buck" Buchanan, 78, of West Paducah will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. The Rev. Johnny Sams will officiate. Entombment with military honors will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
He died at 8:45 p.m. Monday at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Buchanan, a native of Nashville, Tenn., was a retired assistant shift supervisor with the Tennessee Valley Authority. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and was a member of American Legion Post 31, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Paducah Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 3135. He was a member of Heartland Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lorraine "Lori" Buchanan; one daughter, Carolyn Joan Buchanan of Paducah; two sons, Charles E. Buchanan Jr. of Paducah and Joel Wayne Buchanan of Nashville; one sister, Evelyn Woodrow of Nashville; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were Charles Bingley Buchanan and Bessie Mai Cummings Buchanan.
