Charline S. Beard, 75, of Paducah died Sunday morning, January 10, 2010, at 2 a.m. at Lourdes hospital.
She was a native of Evansville, Ind., a member of United Central Presbyterian Church and a homemaker.
Graveside services will be held Friday, January 15, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with Sharon Fesmire officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one daughter, Kathy Turner, Paducah; one son, Thomas R. Beard (wife, Kathleen), Anderson, S.C.; one brother, Robert Smith (wife, Lavenia), Clinton, Ky.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Beard, Kristy Waddy, Rebecca Nichols, and Kristen Beard; two great-grandchildren, J.T. Waddy and Mason Waddy; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 50 years, Thomas H. Beard; parents, Raymond Smith and Mary Lenore Burcham Smith; one sister Beauton McKendree; and three brothers, Frank Smith, Raymond Smith Jr. and Beryle Smith.
The family respectfully requests that flowers be omitted. Memorial contributions may be made to Lourdes Hospice, P.O. Box 7100, Paducah, KY 42002-7100.
