Christine Smith

Christine Smith, 89, of Reidland went home to be with her Lord Saturday, July 18, 2009, at 3:55 a.m. at her residence.
Funeral services for Mrs. Smith will be at 1 p.m. Monday, July 20, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with her pastor, the Rev. Roger Rice, officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Born in Graves County, Mrs. Smith had worked in retail sales and later worked as a hairdresser. She owned and operated Chris's Beauty Shop. She was also a member of the Altona Baptist Church.
Mrs. Smith will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Lawless and husband Guy of Reidland and Karen Buford and husband Bill, also of Reidland. Mrs. Smith is survived by three stepdaughters, Lori Winkler, Cheryl Tyler and Tracy Shreve; and two stepsons, Larry Smith and David Smith. She is also survived by one brother, Bob Bond of Paducah; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; 11 stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Dale Smith; one son, Fred Butler; two brothers, Bill Bond and Lewis Bond; and one sister, Neatra Story. Her parents were Lewis and Rosa Whitt Bond.
