Cozye Knott

April 24, 1927 — July 17, 2009

Cozye L. Knott, 82, of Lone Oak died Friday at 2:08 p.m. at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ and a retired employee of Gore's Market and Boyd's Market in Lone Oak. Cozye was a native of Stewart County, Tenn.
Services will be held Monday, July 20, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Paul Wingfield and Jamey Boone officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be today, July 19, 2009, after 5 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
Surviving are her husband of 64 years, Roy D. Knott; two sons, Doug Knott and wife Katie of Wickliffe and Larry Knott of Metropolis, Ill.; six grandchildren, Dr. Andrew Knott and wife Nikki of Huntsville, Ala., Adam Knott and wife Jennifer of Lebanon, Tenn., Heather Shively and husband Donald of Paducah, Laura Steinfeld and husband Brian of Savannah, Ga., Amanda Moore and husband David of Murray and Jordan Knott of Murray; 11 great-grandchildren, Oliva, Sarah, Carson, Weston and Ava Knott, Chandler White, Haddon and Holt Shively, Paisley and Peyton Steinfeld, and Quinlan Moore; two sisters, Mary Jo Horner of Clarksville, Tenn., Ruby Nell Dodgen and husband Billy Ray of Sevierville, Tenn.; two brothers, Russell Herndon and wife Margaret of Clarksville, Tenn., and Robert Herndon and wife Joan of Murray; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Fred Herndon and Floy Jones Herndon; one great-grandson; one sister; and three brothers.
