Don Utley, 89, of Paducah, KY passed away at 9:57 a.m. Thursday, May 16, 2019 at his home. He was a member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church and a veteran of U.S. Navy. Don retired from CCMA (formerly SKW) of Calvert City as an Electrician and was also retired from the State of Kentucky as Assistant Director of Community Service for Department of Commerce and also served as Deputy Commissioner of Labor, Administrative Assistant for Secretary of Transportation. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and Paducah Masonic Lodge #127 F&AM.
Don is survived by his wife of 69 years, Billie G. Utley; two sons, Don Utley, Jr. and wife Brenda, of Lone Oak and David Utley and wife, Teresa of Lone Oak; one sister, Peggy Hook, Nashville, TN; one grandson; Andy Brady; two great-grandchildren, Levi Brady and Dylan Brady and three nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nick Jennings Utley; mother and step-father, Ida Mae Crow Dennis and Earl Dennis, and one sister, Dorothy Reese.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Dan Summerlin and Rev. Mike Williams officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2019 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
