Dorothy Naomi Solomon, 91, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013, at Baptist Health of Paducah at 11:40 p.m.
Dorothy was born March 12, 1921, in Hickman, Ky., to Aubrey and Elsie May. She was an active member of Zoar Baptist Church of Lowes, who loved her church family. She enjoyed participating in events with other ladies of the Red Hat Society and took great pleasure in observing animals and various types of flowers and wildlife.
She is survived by her sons, Aubrey Solomon and wife Joan of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Terry Solomon and wife Theresa of Cunningham; four grandchildren, Tina Edwards and husband Richard, Amy Farmer and husband Michael, James Solomon II and wife Jesi, and Brent Solomon; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Solomon; her parents, Aubrey and Elsie Spillers May; and two brothers.
Visitation for Mrs. Solomon will be held Monday evening, February 11, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, February 12, 2013 at 10 a.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with burial to follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Rev. Darryl Titus and Rev. Parvin Hall will officiate.
