Earl E. Cole, age 88, of Paducah passed away at 11:07 p.m. Saturday at Western Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Cole was a native of Graves County, Ky. He was a member of the Eastside Holiness Church and a lifetime member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 184. Mr. Cole was a gospel singer; he and his family were known as the Gospel Travelers for over 25 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Burgess Cole of Paducah; one son, Steven E. Walker of West Paducah; two daughters, Carol A. Artis and Lisa G. Schmidt, both of Paducah; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two nieces; and two nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Cole and Dona Fundaugh Cole; two brothers; two sisters; one nephew; and one niece.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at the Eastside Holiness Church with the Rev. Danny Cox and the Rev. Wayne Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Keeling Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
