Eva Mae Weitlauf-Groves, 91, of Lone Oak passed away Tuesday at Lourdes hospital.
Ms. Weitlauf-Groves was a retired dental assistant for K.C. Wise Dental Office and a cook for the McCracken County Jail. She was a charter member of Lone Oak United Methodist Church, an avid camper, and she enjoyed senior dances.
Surviving are one daughter, Shelby Walker of Boaz; two grandsons, Rocky (Sharron) Walker of Boaz, Shannon (Wendy) Walker of Quincy, Ill.; four great-grandchildren, Haley Walker of Boaz, Brady, Bella, and Bristol Walker of Quincy, Ill.; one brother, Carl "Jack" (Roberta) Ligon of Gilbertsville, Ky.; two nieces, Pam Shane, and Carla Kay Ligon, both of Gilbertsville, Ky.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Lottie Herndon Ligon; first husband, John L. Wood Weitlauf; second husband, Dutch Shoburg; third husband, Fred Groves; and one sister, Thelma Jones.
A graveside service will be at 11 p.m. Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with Bro. Ben Boone officiating. Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel until 11 a.m.
