Funeral services for Florence Whitson Walker, 80, of Paducah will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2010, at Roth Funeral Chapel. The Rev. John Offutt will officiate. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Walker died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 2010, at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.
Florence was born in Tiptonville, Tenn., March 21, 1929, to the late Dan and Ada Spears Whitson.
She was a member of Gospel Mission Worship Center and was the owner and operator of Walker's Antiques for 42 years. She was later the co-owner of Sherry and Friends Antique Mall in Paducah. For the past three years she worked at the southside Wal-Mart in Paducah.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Leek of Melber; two sons, Johnny Walker and wife Phyllis of Paducah and Russell Walker of Paducah; one sister, Selma Long of Homosassa Springs, Fla.; seven grandchildren, Melissa Pearson of Mayfield, Jason Leek of Melber, Rick Stubblefield of Paducah, John Walker of Paducah, and Lauren Pearson, Nick Pearson and Natalie Pearson, all of Melber; and two great-grandchildren, Isaac and John William Leek, both of Melber.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 46 years, John W. Walker; and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today, March 18, 2010, at Roth Funeral Chapel.
