Gladis McElroy Matthews, 77, of Paducah died at 1:12 p.m. Sunday at Lourdes hospital.
She was a member of New Life Baptist Church and a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband of 37 years, William T. Matthews; four daughters, Alice Fay Ament of Glendale, Ariz., and Bobbie Lee Parker, Carol Ann Diaz and Dorothy Marie Jones, all of Paducah; one son, William Eugene Matthews of Paducah; four sisters, Lanora Gleeson, Mildred Nace, Ethel O'Nan and Ola Hoard, all of Paducah; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Noman Jasper McElroy and Mary Ann Mathis McElroy; one daughter, Mary Grace Tharp; two sisters; and one brother.
Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Chapel with the Rev. Doug Kineman officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens Mauseleum.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
