Helen Marie Drake, 91, of Mayfield, KY died Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at Green Acres Healthcare in Mayfield.
She was a member of High Point Baptist Church and a retired hairdresser.
She is survived by sons; Don (Janet) Drake and Cody Drake, both of Mayfield: daughters; Shirley (Jerry) Gough and Dolores "Larky" (Ronnie) Colbert, both of Mayfield: brothers, Jack (Mary Jo) Hawkins of Mayfield, Billy (Beulah) Hawkins of Mayfield and Donald Wayne (Sandra) Hawkins of Wingo: sisters, Joann Roberts of Mayfield, Peggy (Melvin) Alexander of Pryorsburg and Patsy Nall of Mayfield; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Drake, Jr., her parents Roscoe Hawkins and Roxie Mae Rodgers Hawkins and five sisters: Maydell Hicks, Reva Sims, Pauline Jackson, Laurine "Kink" Brown and Jettie Mae Goatley.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Drake will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, March 21, 2014 at Mayfield Memory Gardens with Rev. Brad Morris and Rev. Joe Hansen officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 am till 1:30 pm on Friday, March 21, 2014 at Byrn Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brad Drake, Trevor Gough, Ryan Colbert, C.J. Drake, Jacob Shelton, Adam Shelton and Ethan Rose.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3140 Parisa Drive, Paducah, KY 42003 or to The Alzheimer's Association, Greater Kentucky and Southern Indiana Chapter, Kaden Tower, 6100 Dutchmans LN STE 401, Louisville, KY 40205-3284
