Funeral services for James Grisham, 81, of Paducah will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. J. Gottman, Earl Dickerson and Keith Branson will officiate. Entombment will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
He was born March 16, 1928, to the late James Franklin Grisham and Evelyn Dorthal Berry Grisham and lived most of his early life in Corpus Christi, Texas. After serving in the Army and moving to Paducah, James became an active member of several local civic organizations. He served on the Board for the PCC Foundation, Past President of West Kentucky Crime Stoppers, Lourdes Foundation, Paducah Lions Club, and George Rogers Clark Market House Museum. James was a member of Elks Lodge #217 and served on the Paducah Zoning and Planning Board for 20 years. He was also a member of First Christian Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Jo Quinn Grisham.
Surviving is his very dear friend, Celesta Wilson of Paducah. He was blessed to have countless friends.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
