Janice T. Mitchell, 66, of Paducah, formerly of Newport News, Virginia, died at 10:12 a.m. Saturday, November 28, 2009, at Lourdes hospital.
Mrs. Mitchell was born March 8, 1943, in Morristown, New Jersey. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church and was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She graduated from Linden (NJ) High School and Riverside Hospital School of Practical Nursing in Newport News, Virginia.
She is survived by her husband, Earl B. Mitchell; one son, Brian Scott Mitchell and wife Veronica Dawn of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Brittaney, Hannah and Sofiia Mitchell, all of Mount Juliet, Tennessee; and two nephews, Michael V. Testa and Danny P. Testa, both of Brick, New Jersey.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Testa. Her parents were Carmine Frank and Isabell Pardee Testa.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Dr. Jason Browning and Rev. Danny Mize officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
