Jean Stanley Branham, 72, of Paducah, passed away at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Lourdes hospital.
Jean was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren who lovingly called her Nanny. She was very independent and never lost her strong spirit. She worked as a Home Health Nurse and retired from Lourdes Homecare. She always did her job with diligence, love, and care. She was of the Catholic faith.
She is survived by her daughters, Evette (James) Jernigan of Paducah and Karen Francis of London, England; her mother, Joan Clarke Shanley of Edinburgh, Scotland; her sister, Maureen Shanley of Edinburgh, Scotland; her grandchildren, Austin Mayes, Jaylen Jernigan, and Alexis Jernigan, all of Paducah and Jason Simpson, Michael Simpson, Jadean Francis, and Yazmin Francis, all of London, England; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allie Branham; her father, Thomas Shanley; her son, James Branham; her sister, Patricia White; and her brothers, James Shanley and Thomas Shanley.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Dr. Nathan Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah. Friends may call after 12 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
