Jewell Taylor Lawton, 83, of Paducah, formerly of Quincy, Ill., died at 9:48 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at Baptist Health in Paducah.
Jewell was born December 12, 1929, in Toms Creek, Va., to the late Garfield and Lille Kiser Taylor. She was a devoted member of Victory Assembly Worship Center.
She is survived by her husband, James R. Lawton; four daughters, Sandra Hall, Judy McClean, and Regina Vinson, all of Paducah, and Vicki Catterson of Southhaven, Miss.; a son, Gregory Richardson of Kevil; two stepsons, James Lawton and Mark Lawton, both of Florida; two brothers, Robert Taylor of Palatine, Ill., and Wayne Taylor of Golden, Ill.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ralph Richardson; a son, Steven Richardson; two brothers, Raymond Taylor and Aubrey Taylor; and her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Woodlawn Memorial Garden Chapel with the Rev. Gary DeRossett officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Garden. Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2013, at Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
