Jimmy L. Foster, 77, of Paducah, passed away at 12:56 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Greenville.
He was born in Graves County. Jimmy was a retired Assistant Unit Operator for Tennessee Valley Authority at Shawnee Steam Plant. He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church and served in the U.S. Army where he was stationed in Korea for over a year. Jimmy enjoyed all kinds of woodworking.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 49 years, Joy Foster of Paducah; his daughters, Valarie Crabtree and husband Paul Andrew Crabtree of Paducah and Julie Guerrero of Lexington; brother, Bennie Foster of Greenwood, Ind.; and his grandchildren, Lauren Allyssa Crabtree, Benjamin Andrew Crabtree, Hannah Joy Neff, and Robert Jefferson Neff, Jr.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Foster and Mary Goins Foster.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 5, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Encil Edmonds, Rev. Mike Hunt, and Bernard Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
