Joe Brooks King, 82, of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at Western Baptist Hospital.
Joe was born in Marshall County, Ky. He was the retired owner and operator of King Dental Lab, Central Auto Parts, Robo Carwash and Fleet Supply. Joe was a member of the West End Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
He is survived by his sons, Mark King of Paducah, Ky., and Craig King and wife, Laura, of Grahamville, Ky.; and two grandchildren, Michael Brooks King and Tyler Thomas King.
Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Ann Gowler King; son, Kent Brooks King; sister, Mildred Titsworth; and brothers, Gaylon King and Raymond King. His parents were James Clarence King and Etta Coursey King.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Larry Lindsey and Rev. Terry Sills officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
