J.W. Turner

Mr. J W Turner, age 68, of the Pryorsburg Community, passed away at 8:15 AM Sunday, March 19, 2023 at his residence. He was a retired over the road Truck Driver, a member of Sharon Baptist Church and an United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was born on June 1, 1954 in Lowes Kentucky to the late Burnett Lee and Edrie Marie White Turner. He is survived by his wife; Wilma Ray Turner, two daughters; April Turner and Tracy (James) Griffin both of Pryorsburg, two brothers; Jerry Turner, Milburn, William Turner, Paducah, two sisters; Barbara Barnhill, Sedalia, Donna Lovett, Sherman, TX, a sister in law; Lucy Turner, Mayfield and eight grandchildren. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by four sisters; Rosalee Kennemore, Ruth Stanfield, Patricia Cissell and Doris Ballard and three brothers; Junior Turner, Terrell B. Turner and Kenneth Turner. Funeral services for J W Turner will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield with Pastor Mike Baker officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be; James Griffin, Jr. Devin Griffin, Steven Thorn, Richard Samples, Gary Davis, Austin Powell and Tyson Powell. Jayden Griffin will serve as honorary pallbearer. Burial with military honors by the American Legion Post # 26 will be at the Mayfield Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to call from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
