Kenneth Russell Watts, age 62, of Paducah passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013, at his residence, after a long fight with cancer.
Mr. Watts was of the Baptist faith. He was a retired carpenter of 27 years. He won the state carpentry contest of Kentucky in 1976, and went on to Miami Beach, Florida, and came in 4th out of 49 states in a national contest. He served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years during the Vietnam era. He visited 22 countries during his tour.
Surviving are his four daughters, Sheri Rey, Michelle Watts, Amy Saba, all of Florida, and Stephanie Beal of Maine: his mother, Marilyn Watts of Paducah; two brothers, Ernest Watts of Mississippi and Paul Watts of Paducah; one sister, Diana Higgons of Illinois; and one outstanding nephew, James Douglas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Watts, and his father, Ernest E. Watts Sr.
Funeral Service will be held Thursday, September 26, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at the Keeling Family Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Memorial with Military Honors.
Friends may visit the family Thursday from 9:00 a.m. till the funeral hour.
