Leonard Powers

Leonard "Buddy" Powers, 74, of Freemont died at 4:44 a.m. Sunday at Lourdes hospital.
He was retired from SKW Alloys, where he worked in shipping, in Calvert City after 35 years. He was a member of Southland Baptist Temple and the United Auto Workers.
Mr. Powers is survived by his wife of 56 years, Patricia Ann Moore Powers; four sons, Steven Powers of Tullahoma, Tenn., and Billy Powers, Richard Powers and Mark Powers, all of Paducah; one daughter, Cynde Frazee of West Paducah; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Stice of Paducah; and one brother, Clyde A. Powers of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by one brother. His parents were George P. and Ruby Nell Henson Powers.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Revs. Harold Council and Topper Council officiating and burial in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
