Madelyn Lanham

August 9, 1929 — April 30, 2010

Madelyn Lanham, 80, of Paducah died Friday, April 30, 2010, at 11:13 a.m. at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, May 2, 2010, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Gary Vacca officiating.
Friends may visit with the family after 2 p.m. Sunday until the service time of 4 p.m. at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at a later date.
Madelyn was of Baptist faith, a former employee of Union Carbide, Paducah Burley Floor, Claussners, and U.S. Geological Survey, where she drew topographic maps. Her hobbies included working in her flower garden, being a League Bowler, serving as Brownie Scout Leader and being a homemaker.
Survivors include two daughters, Angela and her husband, John Gregory, Teresa and her husband, Bill Wheeler, both of Paducah; one sister, Martha Christman, and one brother, Donald Morgan, both of St. Joseph, Mo.; four grandchildren, Isreal Wheeler Andola and husband Charles of Stamford, Conn., Jeff Wheeler of Virginia Beach, Va., and Chris Wheeler and wife Alona and Jenni Gregory, both of Paducah; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death were her husband, Tom Lanham; her parents, Marsden Malcolm Morgan and Laura Alice Bivins Morgan; two sisters; and one brother.
