BURNA, Ky. - McCall Alexandria "BooBoo" Day, 6, of Burna, Ky., formerly of Paducah, Ky., passed away at 3:05 p.m. Tuesday, December 1, 2009, at Livingston Hospital in Salem, Ky.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 5, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Bro. Terry Sills officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
McCall attended Oaklawn Baptist Church and previously attended Gospel Mission Church. She attended Miss Michael's 1st grade at North Livingston Elementary School and previously attended Miss Beth Perkins' preschool class at Farley Elementary. She raised funds for and contributed for several years to the March of Dimes with her team being chosen as "Most Improved Team" in 2005.She loved babies, kids, music and she loved being read to. She loved animals, especially her cat, Molly, and her dog, Gus. McCall affected each person she met in her short life in so many ways. She celebrated life each day and showed her love with talking, hugs and kisses and lots of attention.
"BooBoo" is survived by her parents, her mother, Stacie Jones and husband Rickie of Burna, and her father, Tim Day Sr. and wife Shalon of Paducah; three sisters, April Nicole Day of Paducah, Isabella Ann Jones of Burna and Cadrian Eliza Dennis of Paducah; three brothers, Timothy Wayne Day Jr. of Paducah and Wesley Dee Jones and Corbin Edward Jones, both of Gleason, Wisconsin; her grandparents, Wayne Agent and friend Connie Reed of Tiline, Ava Adkins of Lexington, Ky., Rick and Judy Jones of Reidland, Albert and Bobbie Day of Kuttawa, Ky., and Robert and Marla Caskey of Paducah; her great-grandparents, David Agent of Burna, Ky., Louise Jones of Calvert City, Ky., and S.J. and Neva Douglas of Paducah; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Hallie Day and her brother, Thai Day; and her great-grandparents, Rose Agent, George Jones, Walter and Amy Alexander, Eugene and Juanita Tucker, and Milton and Addie Day.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
The family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be made in McCall's honor to Western Baptist Hospital Credit Union, In Honor of McCall Day, 2501 Broadway, Paducah, KY 42001.
