Mrs. Nova Tatum Alexander, age 94, lifelong resident of Mayfield, KY passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2015 at Good Shepherd Assisted Living in Lawrenceville, GA.
She was of the Methodist Faith, a former of the Eastern Star, a Kentucky Colonel and a homemaker.
Mrs. Alexander is survived by one son, Mike (Colleen) Alexander of Mayfield, KY; two daughters, Janice (Sam) Harrison of Dacula, GA and Mary Jane (Randy) Clemons of Anderson AL; six grandchildren, Sidney Harrison of Dacula, GA, Betsy Wright of Oxford, AL, Julie Poisal of Dacula, GA, Corinne Rudd of Clinton, KY, Shayne Alexander of Paducah, KY and Kevin Smiley of Chandler, NC; 15 great grandchildren; several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Luster M. Alexander; one daughter, Robbie Smiley; one brother, Whit Tatum; one sister, Birdette Lanmon; and her parents, Luther and Beulah Copeland Tatum.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the Byrn Funeral Home of Mayfield, KY. Rev. Barry Pritchard will officiate. Interment will follow at Mayfield Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Shayne Alexander, Jarrin Rudd, Sidney Harrison, Chris Wright, Mike Poisal and Dale Goodwin. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Tatum and James Parm.
Visitation will be 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the funeral home.
