Opal M. Garner, 95, of Paducah died at 9:18 a.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation in Paducah.
Mrs. Garner was a pastor's wife and a homemaker. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
She is survived by one son, Gale M. Garner and wife Betty of Paducah; two grandchildren, Julie Perry and husband Kenny of Paducah and Jeff Garner and wife LeAnne of Paducah; one stepgrandson, Bob McChristian and wife Kim of Paducah; four great-grandchildren, Zach Perry, Emily Perry, Ryan Garner and Kyle Garner; and one stepgreat-grandchild, Mika McChristian.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Tildon Garner; two brothers; and four sisters. Her parents were T.B. and Birdie Mae Fisher Myers.
Visitation will be from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
Private graveside services will be held in the Chapel of Woodlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Thomas Fortner officiating.
