Opal Overstreet

Opal Louise Pettyjohn Overstreet, age 91, of Paducah, Ky., died at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010, at Lourdes hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Rev. Joe Beal officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Opal was a member of Broadway United Methodist Church for over 60 years and a clerical worker for over 45 years who retired from Petter Supply. She was also a graduate of Draughon's Business College.
She is survived by two nieces, Janet White and husband Danny of Memphis, Tenn., Mary Herpel of Lexington, Ky.; one nephew, Ronnie Pettyjohn and wife Karen of Concord, Massachusetts, and sister-in-law, Marjorie Overstreet of Lexington, Ky.
Opal was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Overstreet; her parents, Basil Lee and Vetrice McKelvy Pettyjohn; and one brother, Ferrell Lee Pettyjohn.
Visitation will be held from noon until the funeral hour on Saturday, August 28, 2010, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home.
