Robert Garner Love, 56, of Reidland died at 5 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2007, at his residence.
Born in Mobile, Ala., Mr. Love was a U.S. Air Force sergeant veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a graduate of Livingston College. Mr. Love was of the Methodist faith. He retired after 33 years with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers where he served as a diver and lock mechanic.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Beverly Utley Love; one stepdaughter, Holly (Darrin) English of Paducah; one stepson, James Andy Utley of Paducah; one sister, Margaret Kirby of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; four grandchildren, Jennie Sue Utley of Benton, Ky., and Katherine English, Lydia English and Johnathan English, all of Paducah; and two nephews.
His parents were Robert M. and Adelaid Hall Love.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, at the Lone Oak chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Sams officiating. Burial with military honors will be at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Ups-N-Downs of Western Kentucky through Easter Seals Center, 801 N. 29th St., Paducah, KY 42001.
