Robert "Bob" Wathen, 78, of Paducah passed away Sunday, December 5, 2010, at 1:22 p.m. at Western Baptist Hospital.
He was an employee of Tennessee Valley Authority, a member of Immaculate Catholic Church in Owensboro, Ky., and a volunteer at Western Baptist Hospital. Mr. Wathen was a Veteran of the United States Air Force serving in the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Annetta Green Wathen; two daughters, Stacey Coleman and husband George of El Paso, Ark., and Jennifer Carter and husband Jason of Little Rock, Ark.; one son, Scott Wathen and wife Shannon of Paducah; and four grandchildren, Casey Miller, Haley Wathen, McKenna Carter and Mary Elizabeth Carter. He leaves behind four sisters, Mary Helen Roberts of Orlando, Fla., and Charlie Conkright, Celine Kenney and Joann Moore, all of Owensboro, Ky.
Mr. Wathen was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest and Mary Bertha Payne Wathen; one sister, Louise Gough; and one brother, Austin Wathen.
Memorial Services for Mr. Wathen will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church with the Rev. J. Patrick Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call after noon Wednesday at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
