Roy Hearell, age 84, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at Superior Care Home in Paducah, Ky.
Funeral services for Roy will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 29, 2010, at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with Pastor Cory Aker officiating. Burial will immediately follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Roy was born on March 1st, 1926, to Roy E. and Nelle Mae Henderson Hearell.
Roy was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church having been confirmed in 1954.
He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Army Air Force. He was previously a grief counselor for the widows/widowers support group in Paducah. Roy retired from Petters Supply after 45 years of service.
Roy is survived by his children, Brenda Wallace and husband, Gary of Covington, Va., Gary Hearell and wife, Aimee of Paducah, and Mark Hearell and wife, Deborah of Milan, Tenn.; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his brothers, Harry Hearell and wife, Linda of Marion, Ky., and Donald Hearell and wife, Lois of Peoria, Ill.
In addition to his parents, Roy was preceded in death by his wife, Emelia Maxine Guetersloh Hearell; one sister and one brother.
