Sandra Wallace, 70, of Paducah passed away Friday, December 31, 2010, at her residence.
Mrs. Wallace was a retired teacher at Reidland Middle School. She was a member of First Christian Church, the Paducah-McCracken County Retired Teachers Association, the Reidland Lions Club and Delta Kappa Gamma, and was an active volunteer at the Carson Center.
Surviving are her husband of 41 years, Larry Wallace; two daughters, Molly Mateus and her husband, Alex of Hutchinson, Minn., and Sarah Holm and her husband, Kris of Paducah; one brother, Jack Sowell of Paducah; two sisters, Judi Sowell of Paducah and Susan Cates of Burlington, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Reed Mateus, Grant Mateus, Catherine Holm, Lily Holm and Cooper Holm.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reavis and Carlene Sowell.
Services will be at noon Monday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Jae Gottman officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. today and after 10:00 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church.
Contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to Kosair Children's Hospital, P.O. Box 37370, Louisville, KY 40233-7370.
Roth Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
