Shirley Waltmon

Shirley V. "Budge" Waltmon, 63, of West Paducah passed away at 4:50 p.m. Thursday, April 30, 2009, at Lourdes hospital.
He was a member of Victory Assembly Worship Center, a Ballard County Deputy Jailer, a former supervisor at the McCracken County jail, a former employee of Air Products and General Tire, and an avid fisherman.
Mr. Waltmon is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sondra Massey Waltmon; one daughter, Shirlonda Waltmon Edwards of Paducah; one son, Shannon Waltmon of Hickman, Ky.; one sister, Shelia Annette Battoe of Paducah; and one brother, Roy Edward "Bud" Waltmon and wife Gayle of West Paducah. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Kasondra Edwards, Daniel Edwards, Nathan Waltmon, Abigal Waltmon and Josiah Waltmon; his mother-in-law, Willie Mae "Jiggs" Matheny of West Paducah; a sister-in-law, Ginger Culp of Paducah; and two brothers-in-law, Darrell Massey and wife Renee and Kenny Culp, all of Paducah.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Edward and Lena Alberta Cumbee Waltmon, and one sister, Melissa Gail Waltmon.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. today, May 3, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah with the Rev. Gary DeRossett officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah.
