SUSAN DOWELL

Susan K. Dowell, 75, of Paducah, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Ray & Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center in Paducah.

Susan was born in Paducah on May 27, 1947 to the late Roy and Katherine Vaughn. She enjoyed spending time gardening, tending to her flowers, fishing and camping. Susan loved to paint and do home projects. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Paducah.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Larry Dowell; two sons, David Dowell, wife, Melissa and Danny Dowell, wife, Dawn; one brother, Perry Vaughn, wife, Joyce, all of Paducah; sister-in-law, Pat Travis, husband, Buddy of Dresden, TN; six grandchildren, Jenna Dowell, Austin Dowell (Jenny), Evan Dowell, Macie Dowell, Kristyn Speer, Kyle Speer; and two great-grandchildren, Dawson Dowell and Riley Carpenter.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Dowell; one brother, Larry Vaughn and her parents.

A funeral service for Susan will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Bro. Buddy Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
