Syble Vaughn Burcham, 91, of Lone Oak died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at 7:35 p.m. at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Syble was born on March 19, 1921, in the community of Wheel in Graves County to the late J.L. Vaughn and Maude Pyle Vaughn. Syble was a longtime member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church, where she attended and supported many church activities. She was a retired nurses aid. Syble was a devoted mother, housewife and homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce (Jeri) Burcham of Paducah, Ky., and Terence "Terry" (Fay) Burcham of Lone Oak, Ky.,; two sisters, Louise Ferren of Paducah, Ky., and Marie "Sissy" Lewis of Lone Oak, Ky.; four stepsons, James Burcham, Bobby Burcham, Neil Burcham and Teddy Burcham, all of the Linden, Tenn., area; one granddaughter, Shawna Burcham Littlejohn of Symsonia, Ky.; fifteen stepgrandchildren; twenty-three stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding in death was her husband, Benjamin Burcham; her parents; two sisters, Aline Owen and Mary Cole; and three brothers, L.B. Vaughn, Roy Vaughn and Talmadge Vaughn.
Services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Stan Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call on Tuesday after 11 a.m. until service time of 1 p.m. at the Lone Oak Chapel Milner & Orr Funeral Home.
