Vergie Velda Shemwell, 104, of Bentonville, Ark., formerly of Paducah, died Tuesday, Aug. 20, 2013, at Circle of Life Legacy Village in Bentonville.
Surviving are one son, Thomas G. Shemwell of Bentonville; one daughter, Linda Pennington of Phoenix; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Paducah with the Rev. Rex Dickey officiating.
Roth Funeral Chapel of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
