Joint funeral services for William Randolph "Bill" and Dona M. Gore and her sister, Ruth W. Wyatt will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church of Paducah. Jamie Boone, Dr. Dan Summerlin and the Rev. Justin Wainscott will officiate. Graveside services for Bill and Dona Gore will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
William Randolph "Bill" Gore was born in Lone Oak on January 27, 1932 to the late Randolph Sanderson and Grace Richardson Gore. He and his wife, Dona were co-owners of Gore's IGA. He was a member and past President of Kentucky Grocer's Association. Bill was a member of Lone Oak Church of Christ, a U.S. Navy veteran, 46-year member and past President of Lone Oak Lions Club, a 27-year member and Paul Harris Fellow of Paducah Rotary Club, a board member of the Red Cross, served on the Seniors Board and was a member of the Asparagus Club.
Surviving are his son, Randy Gore and wife Marlena of Hickory; two granddaughters, Ellie Gore of Paducah and Haley Gore of Hickory; and a sister, Marella Gore Robinson of Lansing, Mich.
Preceding him in death were his wife, Dona M. Wood Gore; and parents, Randolph and Grace Gore.
Visitation will be held from 4 until 9 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church of Paducah. Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Paducah is in charge of arrangements.
